52 Week Project 2012 - Weeks 7 & 8

Due to last weekend in Chicago and all associated travel, etc, last week's photo didn't get posted... however, candidates finally got uploaded. This week, Week 8, was also v. busy and I just now am uploading and culling those photos from my tour of the Peabody Opera House (formerly Kiel Opera House).

So without further adieu, I present Weeks 7 and 8.

Week 7 comes from the Chicago trip for sure, specifically the Shedd Aquarium and their Jellies exihibit. I swear most of my Shedd pictures come from that exhibit alone... it was a tough decision, but this creature just fascinated me.

Week 8 comes from the Peabody tour. What a neat opportunity - they did such a great job of restoring this back to beauty. I don't think I saw anything here before it closed, but apparently a lot of the original stuff remains. This is the Grand Lobby... gorgeous, eh?

On Vacation

... and taking a million (no, not really) pictures. And I haven't had time for the best of picture this week. I will tell you that it will have NOTHING to do with the themes. But the themes are there mostly as guidance. :)

52 Week Project 2012 - Week 6

Only two photo subjects were in the running this time... a random water melt refreezing and a delicious dessert after an equally delicious lunch.

Temptation befell me... and what a way to go - apple walnut cobbler. Warm, covered in ice cream, accompanied by chocolate and a decadent strawberry.

I cannot believe it's been 4 years now... and I'm still going! Sure, I'm posting less as my time committment and jobs have changed - but I still very much enjoy this forum to share my photos and projects, as well as crossing things off my life list.

I don't have much to say tonight, except thank you, dear reader, for reading and stopping by. I love hearing from you so don't be shy about sharing your comments with me!

52 Week Project 2012 - Week 5

This week has been busy and not at the same time. Needless to say, I do find myself taking pictures on the Friday or Saturday of the week.

This week's photo came from outside the Art Museum. Our museum is going through a large renovation so everything is a little messed up at the moment. Still a wonderful museum though and a nice stroll. This is the sidewalk after a bit of a rain.
