Work has kept me pretty busy lately. Pictures were taken on schedule for Weeks 16 and 17; but time has been limited for uploading out of the camera and I have taken to shooting in RAW format, after a very fun and informal photo shoot at a photography meetup. I learned how to shoot with pocketwizards (wireless remotes for external flash units) and with models (something new to me since my models are usually nature and inanimate objects).
Here's Week 15 - Iris Bloom at the Missouri Botanical Garden - it's blooms like this that make me realize how much I love and adore MoBot. Isn't it beautiful?

Week 16:
Urban exploration brought me here to this view:
This week's photo is courtesy of spring in St. Louis. I've never seen these guys before but apparently they are EVERYWHERE!
There are a few others including where one of the little buggers is looking straight at me. Freaked me out. They're pretty tiny, but my G12 came in handy.
FInally uploaded the hundreds of photos from Alaska. My how I missed it. It was a whirlwind trip and it was exhausting but totally worth it. For the people, the company and of course, picture opportunities like these.
Hard to choose, but this is a winner:
Taken from the cabin in Girdwood, about 45 minutes south of Anchorage. The moon had just come over the mountain.
Tons of runners up can be found on my flickr photostream.
It was a busy week for me so slim pickings on the photos this time round. My choices were from an afternoon at the Zoo with a co-worker and Saturday night drinks with colleague/friends.
This one is the winner - our table decorations at Sasha's Wine Bar:
I haven't forgotten but I'm about to leave town for a few days! By the time I get back, I'll have two week's worth (last week and this week) photos to post. I DID take photos this week but I'm not sure what they are and I won't find out until I get back.
my camera: Canon 70D and the Sigma 17-70mm F2.8 lens, photography, flickr, my family, good friendship, my pup (even though I don't live with her), life's little victories—no matter how tiny, new photo opportunities, visiting new places, newfound friends,
What Makes Me Crazy
People who say one thing and do another, cliques, living far away from those I care about, running out of time in a day, texting shorthand, being ignored, getting treated like an idiot.
ADELE, Norah Jones, and anything that has an upbeat while learning how to run.
